These Two…

Somehow in the back of my mind, I always knew these two would be making this exact movie.

Well not exactly, but you know…

What more is there to say? Just look at that movie poster. It’s Tina Fey and Steve Carell. As a couple in a comedy/adventure/romance..

This was bound to happen, these two have a similar sense of humor. How have they not done a movie like this yet?

I actually have faith in this one. I saw the previews and knew right away this was a match made in heaven.

They’ve got a movie here that is probably going to sell big, since its something a huge amount of people can relate to. This couple is living in suburban New Jersey in a house with two kids.

Now, they don’t want their marriage to get all stale and boring so they have a date night every week.

Too bad its not much good at rekindling the romance when its the same old dinner table talk at the same local tavern. They’re exhausted from their job and kids and these little dates don’t end with much romance at all.

So they really come to the realization when their friends (who are in the same situation) end up splitting up. So they both fear where they’re going: the same track to a state of bland indifference and eventual separation.

Ok now all they need is a little adventure. Let’s spice up this marriage and this movie.

So he takes her to Manhatten to the city’s hottest new restaurant. Too bad they don’t have reservation. Do you really think that will stop Steve Carell?

Hell no. They’re gonna end up slipping into the seats that some other couple didn’t show up for and faking who they are.

Woah, too bad this other couple they are faking to be are actually being hunted down by a pair of corrupt cops for having stolen property from some very dangerous people.

“Forced on the run before they’ve even finished their risotto, Phil and Claire soon realize that their play-date-for-parents has gone awry, as they embark on a wild and dangerous series of crazy adventures to save their lives — and their marriage.”

Alright maybe I would have chose a different plot for these two, but hey this should be funny. I mean of course the writers are going to get a little ridiculous with these shenanigans they go through during this night…

Well let’s see what happens, I’m sure the ending will be all warm-hearted and their marriage will be all peachy. I’m sure getting chased by some people on that night is going to heal whatever problems they may face in their marriage down the road. Hah…
