20th April 2010

Post

It’s time to re-imagine our favorite serial killer that haunts the dreams of naughty teenagers, scaring little girls with those four blades embedded in his hands.

Yes of course, the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street is going to be released in theaters April 30th. Surprisingly, this movie looks like it’s actually going to be badass. This is no Halloween or Friday the 13th remake. This remake looks not only like it’s going to stay pretty true to the original, but the special effects are going to be wild. Producer Michael Bay definitely has done a good job in the past, and this time I hope he goes all out with A Nightmare on Elm Street. He’s been the producer of some pretty damn good horror remakes: 2003’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and 2005’s The Amityville Horror.

Watch those trailers. I don’t know how strong this whole plot is going to be, and I would love to make fun of these Twilight-lookin’ kids, but this shit looks beautifully done. Just look at that chick fall out of that black cloud above her bed…  I’m going, don’t let me fall asleep.
