This year’s Hangover?
Now here’s a movie that doesn’t look like too much, but might just be a hidden gem. Hot Tub Time Machine comes off as just another The Hangover-type comedy, but who knows? This one might just raise the bar, but I doubt it.
The cast is good quality, but nothing too special. The story though, well it’s sort-of unique. I mean who else thought of having these friends get drunk in a hot tub and wake up in 1986? While the plot doesn’t look like it will go very deep, the basic idea of these adults that have become bored with their lives can be draw in crowds of audiences who feel the same way. Who wouldn’t love a little time travel adventure with their best friends?
Looks like a movie with not enough witty comedy and far too many one liners.
